Lost At Sea - Assignment
For this assignment we had to create a vertical slice (sample level) for our own horror game concept. The setting for the game is a seemingly abandoned ship at sea.
The player character, a cast away at sea has no choice but to board an abandoned ship (unless of course he wants to drown). The player character quickly figures out there is something wrong since the crew seems to be missing.
The level has been created in UDK and contains:
- Sounds
- Basic Kismet (scripting)
- Custom Particles
- Custom Materials
The assignment was created in co-operation with Tom Prinsen.
I did most of the Level building and Kismet while Tom did the sounds and created the trailers.

Literature review On Instructional Design Within Games - Assignment
This document looks at different factors and elements that should be taken in consideration during instructional design in games.
By looking at how things such as cognitive load theory, narrative, player positioning and choice could be applicable to games, we might be able to find an ideal way to create instructional design for a game.
This document was meant as a preparation for my research paper.

Beatbot concept - Assignment
The assignment was to create a trailer for a non-existing casual game. I created a trailer for BeatBot.
BeatBot is a Rhytm game for the mobile phone and is controlled by tapping the touch screen. By tapping the left part of the screen, BeatBot will go up and by tapping the right part of the screen BeatBot goes down. The top targets will provide a snare drum sound and the bottom targets will provide a bass drum sound. BeatBot should hit as many targets as possible in order to get a higher score and unlock the next level. Each level has a different soundtrack. During the level there will be freestyle parts where the player can use the screen as a keyboard and play a solo on the track.
